The AltaRede Virtual Hosting Centre provides a comprehensive and secure environment in which to host your Internet services.

Our virtual hosting platform enables customers to host their services without the need for expensive hardware and software environments. There is also no need for your staff to make onsite maintenance visits, as these areas are provided by our own fully trained support staff. Archiving of your systems is also provided by AltaRede, as part of the hosting contract.

The AltaRede Hosting Centre

The AltaRede hosting centre is located in Milton Keynes in the United Kingdom. We currently run a dual dark fibre 2 x 100 Mb connection from our hosting centre, directly into the main Internet Hub (Tele House) in London.

Our primary Network Operations Centre is also housed onsite at our hosting centre, with a secondary in the Algarve in Portugal.

Our infrastructure also benefits from redundant UPS power backup and a Diesel generator.

Security plays a crucial role to the success of your network infrastructure, and our expertise in network security including firewalls, monitoring, virtual private networks and intrusion detection, has resulted in the creation of an exceptionally secure platform from which to host your services.

All of our virtual servers are housed behind our firewall and Intrusion Detection systems and benefit from regular monitoring by trained security and support personnel. The network is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the most secure and resilient environment for your servers.

Disaster Recovery
